Religion City Mathura: City of Temples
Mathura should be called the proud center of Indian culture and civilization. Although Mathura is famous for religious tourism.
Mathura is virtually revered as the birth place and lila of Lord
Krishna. Mathura, a religious city in Uttar Pradesh, India, has a

Temple, Vasudev Ghat, Govardhan Nathji Temple, Madan Mohan Temple,
Radheshyam Temple and Ganesh Temple, Birla Mandir-Geeta Temple, Gayatri
Tapo Bhumi etc.
The special thing is that there are four Shiva temples in all
directions of Mathura. Pipleshwar Mahadev in the east, Rangeshwar
Mahadev in the south, Gokarneshwar Mahadev in the north and Bhuteshwar
Mahadev in the west.
Lord Shiva is called the Kotwal of Mathura due to having a Shiva temple
in all directions. Kankali Tila is also an attraction in Mathura. There
is a temple of Kankali Devi on this mound.
It is believed that the girl whom Kansa wanted to kill, considering
Devaki's daughter, had gone out of hand and went to the sky. This
Kankali temple is dedicated to that girl.
The music of Mathura is also very popular. It has the reputation of
Brij Music. The main musical instrument of Brij is the flute. Lord
Krishna's flute was infatuated. That is why Lord Krishna is called
Muralidhar and Vanshidhar.
There are many styles of singing in the folk music of Brij. Among them
is the ancient singing style of Rasiya Brij. Tourists can enjoy
religion, spirituality as well as music in Mathura.
