Nashik: Religious Tourism

   Nashik should be called beautiful and best religious tourism. However, it is a very sacred Mahathirtha of Hindus. It can also be considered as the site of Lord Shiva and Shri Ram. 

   The reason is Panchavati in Nashik and Jyotirlinga is also Trimbakeshwar. There is also the gaurb of Nashik India existing on the banks of the holy Godavari river. 
  Nashik, the city of Maharashtra in India is also known for its religious and glorious history. Located in the north-west of Maharashtra, the Nashik religion is famous for the town of Parayana. 
  Located on the banks of the sacred Godavari River, the main attraction of Nashik is the Godavari River and the Panchavati. Nestled from a height of about 565 m to 700 m above sea level, Nashik is also known for its natural beauty and architecture. 
   This city of faith and belief has global fame. Simhastha Kumbh is the main attraction of Nashik. Simhastha Kumbh is held globally every 12 years. Kumbh festival is organized in the four major cities of the country. These include Nashik, Allahabad, Ujjain and Haridwar. Allahabad's Kumbh is the biggest festival. 
   This religious festival is attended by devotees of India as well as tourists and tourists from all over the world. It is religious belief that a bath in Simhastha Kumbh in the holy Godavari purifies the soul. At the same time, one gets freedom from sins.
  The festival of Mahashivaratri is also celebrated here with great pomp. The beauty of the banks of the Godavari river and the ghats is formed. There is a long chain of religious and attractive places in Nashik.
  Panchavati: Panchavati is situated in the north direction of Nashik. It is believed that Lord Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana had migrated to Panchavati for some time. For this reason Panchavati is visible and famous. The five banyan trees of Panchavati are also special. It is believed that Ravana abducted Mother Sita at this place.
   Sita Gumpha: Sita Gumpha is also a part of Panchavati. Gumpha literally means cave. This cave, located near five banyan trees, has to be entered through stairs.
  Sundara Narayan Temple: Sundar Narayan Temple is a magnificent decoration of architecture. This magnificent divine-grand temple is situated on the banks of the Ahilya Bai Holkar Setu in Nashik. This temple was founded by Gangadhar Yashwant Chandrachud in 1756. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is also known as Sundara Narayana.
  Mukti Dham: Mukti Dham is also a special attraction in Nashik. All the gods and goddesses of Hindus are consecrated in this temple. Devotees can also visit Dwadash Jyotirlinga in Mukti Dham.
  Modakeshwar Ganesh Temple: Modakeshwar Ganesh Temple is one of the main attractions and religious places in Nashik. It is believed that the idol installed in this temple is itself natural. It is also known as Shambhu. The sweetest dish of Maharashtra is considered modak. Modak made from a fantastic blend of coconut and jaggery is very famous here.
  Ramkund: Ramkund is actually a famous ghat of Godavari river. It is believed that Lord Rama took a bath at this place on coming to Panchavati. Hence it is known as Ramkund.
  Kalaram Temple: Kalaram Temple is a divine-grand temple located in Panchavati near the Godavari river in Nashik. This temple was built by Gopika Bai Peshwa in 1794. This temple of Hemadpanti style has a black statue of Lord Sri Rama installed. 
  The architecture of this temple is very visible. The special thing is that the architecture of this temple is like the Jyotirlinga Trimbakeshwar temple. The temple is constructed of black stones.
  Shirdi Temple: Shirdi Temple is a sacred and religious place. Shirdi district is a small village in Ahmed Nagar. This temple is actually a place dedicated to Sai Baba. This temple is famous for amazing wonders.
   Someshwar Mahadev Temple: Someshwar Mahadev Temple is in fact one of the most ancient temples in Nashik. The idol of Lord Someshwar Artharat Shiva is enshrined in the temple. About 6 km from Nashik, this temple is situated on Gangapur Road.
    All the necessary resources are available for a trip to Nashik. The nearest airport is Mumbai International Airport. The distance from Mumbai Airport to Nashik is about 167 kilometers. The nearest railway station is Nashik Junction. Tourists or devotees can also travel to Nashik by road.
